Bose describes sensing surrounding noise and producing an opposing signal. This active process differs from a physical seal that passively attenuates sound.

What to check when choosing

Limits of the claim

An ANC label does not quantify attenuation or establish hearing protection. A microphone used for calls alone is not proof of ANC.
