Current in the diaphragm’s conductors interacts with the magnetic field to move the sound-producing surface. Audeze describes distributing driving force across the diaphragm.
What to check when choosing
Compare the actual model’s sensitivity, impedance, weight and documented power requirements. Driver technology is one selection criterion.
Limits of the claim
A manufacturer’s claimed superiority is not an independent result. Planar construction does not by itself establish better sound.
